The Circuit supports the first worldwide outdoor campaign on road safety
of FIA and JCDecaux


Launched by the President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), Jean Todt, and the Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-CEO of JCDecaux, Jean-Charles Decaux, last March, the campaign #3500LIVES promotes simple and universal messages to save lives on roads. Road crashes are responsible for 3,500 deaths a day worldwide.

This engaging and universal campaign aims to raise awareness and prompt all road users to adopt simple, easily applicable and efficient rules. Promoting 10 “golden rules”, the campaign is embodying by famous ambassadors: athletes like Antoine Griezmann and Rafael Nadal, artists like Pharrell Williams but also drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Marc Marquez, Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg. Translated in 30 languages, the campaign #3500LIVES is as of today live in 30 cities worldwide and will be rolled out in more than 70 countries by the end of 2017.

The Paul Ricard Circuit taking actions for road safety
The Paul Ricard Circuit takes part regularly to some actions for safety road managed by French government and Var department: for example awareness campaign for circuit’s employees during the French road safety week; or the road safety day for motorcycles on July 1st where the French road safety interministerial delegate Emmanuel Barbe was invited.

Less than 1 year before to the return of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Circuit Paul Ricard decided naturally to support this FIA advertising campaign to increase his commitment in road safety. Concretely the Circuit’s Communication Department rolls out the outdoor campaign at the entrance of the circuit and inside the paddock and public areas.
