WEC PROLOGUE - April 7th of 2018


On the edge of the 2018-2019 Super Season, more than 30 cars will be on the track of the Circuit Paul Ricard for the Prologue, the official pre-season tests for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) on 6 and 7 April.

The 2018-2019 Super Season will be kicked-off on the asphalt of the Circuit Paul Ricard in the presence of the championship's four sport categories: Le Mans Prototypes LMP1 and LMP2 and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance GTE Pro and GTE Am.

For the occasion, the teams will be in action for 30 hours on the 5.8 track, including the night of Friday 6 to Saturday 7 April !

Excellent news for spectators : they will be able to visit the stands from 4 PM !

The return of private teams to challenge the giant Toyota Motorsport in LMP1 hybrid, the most technological category, offers a new lease of life to the event. And the quality of the teams already promises races that are more hard fought and lively than ever.

GT and LMP2: ever greater challenges

BMW joins Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche for the hard fought world title in the LMGTE Pro category, bringing to ten the number of teams competing, with the highest level GT competition in the world on the track. Added to this is a major LMGTE Am event with Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche. On the trail of the GT Manufacturers World Champion title, the stakes will be higher than ever!
The LMP2 category will again present the perfect environment for private teams that want to compete in the most prestigious endurance championship in the world to the bitter end  •
