The Circuit Paul Ricard's Cycle and Running Event is organised in collaboration with the FFC (French Cycling Federation) and will involve two cycling competitions.
The 24 hour Cycle Race will start at 2:30pm on 30 June and involve five racing categories: individual participants and teams of two, four, six or eight cyclists. The 6 hour Cycle Race will start at 8:30am on 1 July and involve four racing categories: individual participants and teams of two, four or six cyclists.
Authorised equipment : road-bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid, fixie, track bikes, recumbent bikes, spoke wheels, free-wheels, fixed pinions, disc brakes.
Unauthorised equipment : electric bikes, unicycles, tandems, folding bikes, handbikes, disc wheels, street stepper.
The running events are planned for the morning of 30 June over two, four or seven laps of Circuit Paul Ricard.
There will be two special races: "La Castellane" for women and "La Pitchoun" for kids.
The Cycle and Running Event for spectators and competitors
Visitors will have access to the Demonstration and Entertainment Village in the Paddock area. They will also be able to participate in the open after-noon events on anything without an engine, head protection will be obligatory.
