On Friday 27 April, the 27th Tour Auto Optic 2000 will return to the Circuit Paul Ricard with 230 participants in a Tour de France that pays tribute to the most beautiful cars of the past competing in regularity or speed competitions, either for touring or classic racing cars.
There will be a large number of enthusiasts and collectors at the wheels, as well as soome star drivers, such as Ari Vatanen, François Chatriot, Alexandre Brasseur and Guy Berryman (Coldplay).
The 2018 Tour Auto Optic 2000 will start on 23rd April when the cars engaged will be on display at the Grand Palais in Paris. The next day, competitors will leave the capital for five days to make their way around the roads of France including time trials on circuits and on closed sections (rally). The chequered flag will be waved on Saturday 28th April on the evening of the last leg on the French Riviera.
Every year Peter Auto makes it a point of honour to highlight a manufacturer or a type of car that has been involved in the history of the Tour de France Automobile. For the 27th edition, the spotlight will be turned on Italian models that are no longer produced. Many of them took part in the original event: Autobianchi, De Tomaso and Osca, among the best known, not to mention Cisitalia, Lombardi, Moretti, Siata, etc.PUBLIC ACCESS FROM 3 PM TO 7 PM
